If you have had the unfortunate experience of losing a pet, these videos can offer some insights and maybe some comfort:
These two videos below are about animals, but have some endearing human stories as well. I bawled my eyes out watching these videos, but I also gained some wonderful insights:

A Simple yet Effective Technique for You to use with your Animals:
Please do share to assist other pet owners and pets. Thank you!
Meditate with your pet: Pets are often sensitive to their owner’s energy, so spending time with them while calming and quieting yourself can be a powerful way for them to help them find balance.
Grounding practices: This involves touching the ground and reconnecting to the earth. Spend time with your pet outdoors with their paws on the ground so they can rejuvenate their energy naturally.
In my training years ago, we watched a video of a severely traumatized cat, and also a dog that were settled within minutes using this sequence. I have used this tapping sequence technique successfully many times in upsetting situations.
Meridian tapping. A simple sequence you can memorize to use to reduce stress, anxiety, fears and cravings.
YES, this tapping sequence can be used successfully with animals. Take the appropriate precautions in holding them if they are very skittish. These 4 meridian points can be tapped or rubbed on the animal if able to do so, or you can tap/ rub these meridian points on yourself and intend for your pet to reduce their upset. Just a few rounds of this sequence is all it takes to calm them effectively.
We have many people out there who love fireworks celebrations but some furbabies get upset. This is the tapping with explanation, see YouTube channel for quick version
Eyebrow, under eye, under arm, collarbone.
This is a super simple technique you can do on your animal, or tap on yourself for your pet. Tapping on energy meridians will quickly alleviate the upset. I have recommended this technique numerous times to my clients for their pets with wonderful successes. 4 points, easy to memorize and use any time you need it.
Use this simple tapping sequence to help settle down animals quickly.

Energy Healing for Animals:
Animals are wonderful companions to us; we share our homes with them and take good care of them. They become part of our family and pick up on our feelings. Our pets communicate with us non-verbally and with their body language, which is always genuine. We care for our pets with affection, food and shelter, but sometimes we may notice a pet looking troubled or unhappy. This indicates there may be a need for energy healing.
Animal lovers know that animals have feelings and remember what has caused them pain. The Emotion Code works as well for animals as it does for people; in my experience working with animals, I can tell they appreciate energy healing, I feel their gratitude after a session. Having worked with rescued dogs, I can say for sure that they are much calmer after energy work.
Energy Clearing for animals is effective and affordable, it is an excellent remedy for problem behaviors. If you have pets why not let them benefit from this work too? Using energy balancing modalities, we can energetically connect with your pet, potentially reduce their emotional or physical discomforts, and help improve their behavior.

Disclaimer: Energy balancing can have absolutely profound effects for humans and animals, but it is not a replacement for professional vet medical care. It can however, greatly enhance the successes of medical care and professional behavioral therapy.
Did you know that, just like people, animals can have Trapped Emotions and energetic imbalances that affect their wellbeing? These issues can cause our furry, feathered, and scaly friends to behave in negative ways, due to the emotional or physical discomfort they are feeling. The goal of practicing energy work on pets is to balance the energy levels in their bodies, returning them to their optimum states, so that they can heal themselves.
Our animal companions can suffer from transference from those around them. Our pets can soak up any emotion that we are experiencing and reflect that back to us and the environment. You could say that our pets our are greatest reflections. It is because of this that they too trap trapped emotions and get blocks just like the rest of us. You can imagine that being an animal is stressful enough, let alone holding onto emotional states that can cause physical symptoms down the road. Just as we care for our own well-being, our furbabies need all the help they can get as well.
Our own moods and emotions are giving the “tone” in our house. If we are stressed our animals are feeling it and wondering what is happening. Is something bad going to happen? Did something bad happened? Am I going to the vet? Is she/he going away? And the next thing you know they are stressed! And stress, like for us, is not good.
If we are sad our animals feel it. If we are too busy, they feel it. Then we don’t play with them anymore, we don’t pay enough attention to them. They wait for us to be home from work, errands or if we work at home to be done with the computer or the phone. They need quality time. We are their world.
This is not to say that we have to feel bad when we don’t have time or when we are not feeling good, life is not easy. But we can decide to pay attention; that will facilitate good health and harmony in the house.
Loud noises and chaos in their environment can cause animals to be unsettled and frightened. Celebratory fireworks can be upsetting for animals. We cannot change what is going outside of our homes. I happen to enjoy fireworks myself, so I would be remiss to suggest anyone cancel their festivities to appease others.
Thunderstorms and lightning can also trigger upsets. We definitely cannot change the weather either so best option is to balance and heal our own triggers and assist our animal companions in letting go of their fears as well.
Energy balancing and clearing can find the triggers that upset animals and assist them in feeling calm through the storms and fireworks. Our cats used to be quite skittish with loud noises. Now they generally sleep through most lightning storms and fireworks outside. We’re still working on some of the vacu-monster triggers but we’re making progress. Animals are such innocent souls with a mentality that does not understand all these scary things.
Allow me to show you how your pet can be calm and relaxed. https://ladybugwellness.as.me/animal
I have worked with dogs, cats, horses, rodents, birds, and even snakes– with their humans reporting a change in behavior fairly quickly.
Specifically, these are some of the successes with animals:
–a dog stopped getting into the trash bin and jumping on counters;
–two different parrots stopped plucking their feathers;
–a cat stopped shredding the screen door;
–a rescue dog went from agitated and growling to rolling over for a tummy rub in less than 5 minutes. His demeanor completely changed towards guests in the home as well.
— the suggestion of the tapping video as a do-it-yourself technique has been effective for many people according to feedback received.
Many other various animals have become happier and cuddlier with their humans where they had previously been withdrawn and depressed, or agitated and misbehaving.
Animals have feelings and their fears can come out in their behaviors, becoming withdrawn and fearful, hiding, misbehaving, litter box issues, etc. We can assist our furbabies with energy balancing so they can enjoy a furry kind of inner peace even if there is chaos outside.
Reiki for Animals: Animals LOVE reiki sessions. They get so relaxed and calm, purring or sighing in their version of absolute bliss. Then, quite often abruptly, they will decide they are done. They’ll just pull away or walk away. No need to be offended. Animals are sentient beings that are well aware of their needs and know when they are “done” for that moment.

From Reiki practitioner forum:
End of life with animals is unfortunately a reality of having animals as companions. Reiki can help support the animal and the caregiver in this difficult process.
Many times, with end-of-life support there are vet visits, medications, and decisions to be made. Caregivers are constantly trying to support and make the most loving decisions for their animals.
Ways to use Reiki for end-of-life support:
1. Pain and stress reduction for the animal.
2. Stress reduction for the caregiver.
3. Charging medicine with Reiki.
4. Sending Reiki to vet appointments and spaces, or the home, stall, bed, or space that the animal lives in.
5. Use the distance symbol to help with the animal transitioning / crossing the Rainbow bridge.
6. Have a Reiki session for the caregiver to help ease the burden of grief.
Remember that Reiki is a complementary therapy in conjunction with medical care, but it can really help the animals and caregivers during this challenging time.

I remember as a mail carrier talking to an animal trainer. Apparently, animals view us as so much bigger, and things like my huge mail satchel or regular clothes instead of familiar uniform are confusing, intimidating, and scary for dogs and other animals. Hats are an issue for many animals. I have known cases of animals being scared of men/ or women, or some other ‘trait”.
I figure it is a trauma trigger response of some sort whether evolutionary or personal to the animal.

Sleep in a bed with a cat? The health effects are staggering…
Cats can sense when you need help.
If they wander all the way to your bed, or if they’re always taking up room on the couch, know that they’re just relieving you of negative energy. They have a special ability to detect magnetic fields, which is why it is recommended to put the bed where the cat spends more time and feels comfortable.
The cat is able to compensate for the physical and mental energy deficits of its owner. Research has shown that families with cats have a much lower incidence of disease, a more balanced atmosphere in the house and a more harmonious living environment.
Cats can sense when you are in pain.
Don’t be surprised if your cat settles down exactly where it hurts. If your stomach hurts, your head hurts or your neck is tense, your favorite animal will most certainly linger on this area. Don’t chase it away, be patient and let it flood you with healing energy. After a while the pain will decrease and you will feel much better.
Cats are excellent masters of bioenergetics, they can sense exactly when there is a problem somewhere, and therefore they try to balance the energies in a short time.
They can sense the human aura, are amazing neurologists, psychologists, but are also excellent at “curing” physical illnesses.
They alleviate anxiety, depressive symptoms and bring calm to the whole house and its owner.
Cardiovascular “doctors”
Cats are excellent cardiologists. People with hypertension can therefore consider sharing their life with a small, soft purr on all fours. People who have cats are much calmer, more balanced and their blood pressure problems are reduced.
American research shows that the risk of heart attack is reduced by 30 to 40% in cat owners. Cats often sit on people’s chests because they sense a problem and are quick to use their healing skills. This is how they prevent heart attacks.
Female cats have much stronger bioenergetics than male cats, and are more effective at reducing symptoms of mental and internal disorders.
Male cats are better at treating skeletal and exoskeletal disorders.
