Chronic Ailments: Suggestions and Insights

I’d like to start off saying that I have lost loved ones to chronic ailments so I know too well the anguish surrounding this topic. However, with each loved one lost and knowing their situation, this knowledge has only solidified and supported all that I have learned holistically about chronic ailments. In all my years of experiences and learning, I now know of many miracles cases where someone has fully overcome chronic issues to live a healthy vibrant life to the fullest.
Our minds and bodies in human form are so simple, yet so complex, and such a fascinating Divine work of creation. When we tune into our bodies, and “go within” connecting with our Highest Self, our inner Divine self, we can then take full accountability and responsibility for our own health and wellness.
Traditional medical practices definitely have their place and purpose, and holistic wellness is not a replacement for a proper licensed doctor’s medical care. Yet, it is essential to balance and integrate traditional medical practices with holistic wellness to be completely and fully informed in your choices and the protocols to follow for your own well being.
Personally, I have been blessed with medical doctors in my life that have a wonderful understanding of holistic wellness and integrate this knowledge into their practice. This makes for medical professionals that I can fully trust with my health. I invite you to ask questions and really quiz your doctor on the procedures and protocols they suggest for your conditions. A reputable doctor will work with you and be open to good health practices that work for your situation. I am wary of doctors who have poor “bedside manners” and “know it all/ better than you” type attitudes. When greed and money are the basis behind their reason to be a doctor, that is a red flag that should be heeded.
A reputable holistic practitioner will always have disclaimers ceding to traditional medical practices just to cover their butts ethically and responsibly.
Now that we have all that out of the way, let’s get to some basics about holistic wellness.
“Holistic” is characterized by the belief that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole.
“Holistic” is also characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of an illness.
In energy balancing practices, we look at the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of imbalances within a person, not just the physical aspects.
Humans are much more powerful than we are led to believe. Society and modern medicine look mostly at the outside, tangible, logical, observable, and physical factors. Quantum energy healing is far from logical to our human brain, but can still be scientifically supported through quantum physics. Research anything about Fibonacci numbers and sequences in nature!
Our thoughts are powerful, so if we have hidden non beneficial beliefs or spiritual/ mental imbalances, this can wreak havoc on our level of Divine Discernment in what is best for us. Anger, guilt, frustration, grief, worry… our negative emotions have a vibrational frequency that brings down our overall vibration. A low and negative vibration is fertile ground for chronic ailments to persist.
Every imbalance starts on the emotional /mental level of our being before manifesting to the physical to create a chronic ailment within our bodies. Pain and discomfort are messengers! When we do not listen to our bodies intuitively, our body will create a way to make us slow down and pay attention.
Many of the “miracle healing” stories and cases I know of had a common factor of finding the root issues and addressing dis-ease from the cellular and energetic level to create wellness on the physical and holistic level.
It is absolutely crucial to do your own due diligence in exploring all avenues of care for yourself. What works for one person may not be a cookie cutter/ one size fits all type solution for another person. When we take into account that our bodies are unique and individual. Our chemical composition, toxin loads and intolerances, past traumas, and ancestral issues can all be factors.
Some will say that we are prone to certain ailments because it runs in the family. This is only partly true in holistic terms. While our DNA can carry memories and miasmas from our ancestors, it is only when conditions are right that a dis-ease or chronic ailment will develop into something physical. We each have the choice and the power to be aware of this factor and to break the chains of this belief.
Power of words: it is ok to say, “I was diagnosed with ___ but I refuse to own it”. Realize that the diagnosis is not part of you or your identity. Wayne Dyer, in his seminars and inspirational talks, was quite adamant that he would not allow certain dis-ease names into his vocabulary and energy field.
Many years ago, I remember someone saying, “Why would I want to send my child to a ‘hospital for sick children’? I would rather send them to a hospital for wellness”. (Yes, there is a hospital in Toronto with that name).
In their quests and research for the truth, Ty Bollinger and Matt Embry found what many people find out: that charities dedicated to certain dis-ease research are not really that helpful at all and it is more about the advertising and image than actual wellness and healing.
This is now my mantra as well. I am not likely to support any charities with a dis-ease name. I will gladly support wellness and personal development though!
Rupert Sheldrake is the man behind the concept of “morphic resonance”.
https://www.sheldrake.org/research/morphic-resonance
Morphic resonance: noun. the idea that, through a telepathic effect or sympathetic vibration, an event or act can lead to similar events or acts in the future or an idea conceived in one mind can then arise in another.
With this theory of morphic resonance, we can understand that a diagnosis of certain ailments, or just the name of certain chronic dis-eases can send anyone’s mind into a tailspin of fear with all the beliefs and implications of said dis-eases. Again, this is the reason we need to address the root issues behind the imbalances that create the experience of dis-ease. This is the power of words and the importance of addressing hidden beliefs as well.

An eye-opening experience:
I was asked to give a short seminar talk at a local arthritis group meeting several years ago. I had not been given much information with this invitation and the event was extremely disorganized. When I arrived, I realized I was the introductory speaker for this group of about 50 people. I gave a 15-minute talk about energy balancing and the modalities I use. There were some questions and some feigned interest with mostly blank stares.
The keynote speaker was a research psychologist with a very condescending, haughty attitude. He started his talk by dramatically pulling a framed certificate out of his briefcase to show everyone his esteemed credentials. His whole talk was all about name dropping and the high-class publications he was involved in with research projects. He had all these people completely enthralled and almost drooling at his every word.
Then, in the Questions and Answers part of his seminar, many people spoke up and talked of their specific symptoms in detail and pronounced long disease names, completely identifying with each other and each drug they were taking. This whole event was a solicitation for research funding, and these people on disability pensions were opening their wallets and bank accounts in droves!
At that time, with my limited experiences, I felt completely alienated and outcast from this group. It was a horrible experience and I am now grateful for having been there to witness this atrocity first hand of how brainwashed people can be.
What I realized is that these people identified with their ailments. On some level of their being, they wanted to be sick and this benefited them with attention and inclusion in this dis-ease named club, albeit a club I wanted no part of.
Much of any kind of research funding is so irrational from a holistic viewpoint. There are many ways to heal available to us if we just tune into the natural rhythms and needs of our bodies.

Many theories of chronic dis-eases suggest that our bodies are attacking us or falling apart. When you delve into the world of holistic care and being in tune with our bodies, you will quickly learn that our bodies are designed to keep us functional and safe. The Chinese medicine wheel explains that certain systems and organs have specific times and rhythms to do their own biological “housecleaning”, or “body defrag”, as I like to call it.
“Apoptosis occurs normally during development and aging and as a homeostatic mechanism to maintain cell populations in tissues. Apoptosis also occurs as a defense mechanism such as in immune reactions or when cells are damaged by disease or noxious agents (Norbury and Hickson, 2001)”. Apoptosis is described as an active, programmed process of autonomous cellular dismantling that avoids eliciting inflammation.
Many chronic ailments are just severe imbalances in a broken immune system. Tumors are often a build up of dead cells when apoptosis fails to work properly.
Now let’s look at some solutions to consider.
Realize that the belief that “physical ailments are a reality when we get older” does not have to manifest into your personal reality.
Health encompasses much more than physical. When the mind is sick, the body eventually will be as well.
Biological age has absolutely nothing to do with it when you overcome stuck or traumatic belief systems.
Louise Hay wrote a book on the metaphysical aspects of ailments way back when these concepts were not well accepted. Her book “You Can Heal Your Life” is now one of the top recommended holistic wellness books out there.
Similarly, “The Secret Language of Your Body” by Inna Segal is highly recommended to learn the metaphysical reasons behind chronic imbalances.
Reference books from Yvette Rose are an essential addition to a holistic library. These contain an extensive collection of metaphysical connections and explanations for innumerable ailments.

German New Medicine is a modality created by Dr Ryke Geerd Hamer, a German physician, after he realized the implications of his own experiences and how that created an otherwise “terminal” type illness in his own life. In researching this modality, you may find a fair bit of controversy in the mainstream sources. In my opinion, controversy is a good reason to do more research to find the reasons behind the debates. I find GNM a great basis of metaphysical information that can give insights into the body ailments.
The “Truth about Cancer” website is an excellent resource of information as well. Again, more controversy and banned in some countries because this vital research was a quest for truth when Ty Bollinger lost a loved one under circumstances believed to be preventable.
I bought the DVD set a while ago. They have many videos and a plethora of information on their website.
This is where I have gleaned many ideas of what to target energetically for these kinds of issues and imbalances.
All it really is, in a holistic sense, is an overgrowth of dead cells and a broken lymph system. Our cells regularly die and are supposed to be flushed out thru a process called apoptosis.
When there are energetic blockages, these are often due to a person not living their life purpose and following their heart brain. Pretty much anyone I have known of people who have passed, this has been the root cause that they have not embraced a new way of life and/ or let go of what is holding them back.
Of the survival stories, they have embraced a new way of life and often think of “cancer” as a gift.
Please note, while they have incredible life changing information to share, I personally was overwhelmed with their constant emails. I preferred just visiting website on my own terms.

“Living Proof” is a documentary created by Matthew Embry when he received an MS diagnosis. In his quest and research, he found what many people find that charities dedicated to certain dis-ease research are not really that helpful at all.

Medical Medium: Anthony Williams has several books out now that look at the basics of food as fuel and how to bring the body back into balance through the foods we eat.
Allergies: Disease in Disguise by Carolee Bateman-Koch. I highly recommend this book to understand the acid alkaline balance that is essential to our overall wellbeing:

Dr Terry Wahls was in a zero-gravity chair back in 2001. Her body failed, but her mind worked. She went on to get a doctorate and has published books and videos promoting her “hunter gatherer” diet focusing on “Minding your Mitochondria” and how she brought her body back into healthy balance.
The Budwig Diet is treatment developed by the German biochemist Dr. Johanna Budwig in the 1950s. The diet consists of multiple daily servings of flaxseed oil and cottage cheese, as well as vegetables, fruits and juices. She thought that it made omega-3 fatty acids more available to body cells. Processed foods, meats, most dairy products and sugar are prohibited.
Grounding and Earthing: The soil has high energy so when you walk barefoot the electrons transfer to you, the lower energy field. This raises your vibration and/or frequency and/or cellular energy. When your cellular energy is down, ailments can grow and flourish.
A good example: Dogs don’t wear shoes; they are outside all the time and high energy. When you hug that high energy dog, the electrons are transferred to you here as well and you feel better.
Look for survivors and read their encouraging stories. Start writing and sharing your own journey to assist others.
Recommended by Dr. Karen Kan:
“Dr. Katrina Cox is deeply connected to the cancer survivor’s journey and has written an internationally bestselling book, “The Opportunity in Cancer: How to Radically Transform Your Cancer Recovery Journey”.

Dr. Katrina is on a mission to help those affected by cancer radically transform their cancer recovery journey from the comfort of their own home and at their own pace. Exploring her trademark 4 Rs – Release, Reclaim, Restore, and Renew; she helps those involved in the cancer recovery journey individualize their approach to overcoming overwhelm, conquering fear, and annihilating anxiety”.
We can do a lot for our own selves in our quest for truth and in our own healing journey. When it comes to others though, we can only offer suggestions. Ultimately, it is their choices and their experiences. When all else fails, sometimes we just have to accept that we do not have any control over another persons healing path. We do not know someone else’s soul/ life path or soul/life purpose.
Still, I always recommend using Court of Atonement to work on ourselves and to be more accepting of the reality of allowing others to make their own choices.
More points to ponder:
It is only when we understand a conflict from a greater perspective – can we release it. Wayne Dyer spent his entire young life hating his father for abandoning the family. Yet when he went to his father’s grave (to piss on it!) he realized that very abandonment catalyzed within him a lifelong search for truth, ultimately leading to the creation of what would become his life’s purpose. His father’s actions were, in the greater perspective – a blessing of incomprehensible affect. It’s about context and perspective. Releasing a biological conflict is a matter of understanding the conflict with greater perspective and in a grander context.

Chronic (adjective):
1. (Of an illness) persisting for a long time or constantly recurring.
2. persistent, long-standing, long-term, constantly recurring; many annoying and niggly health issues that docs say are incurable are actually very curable!

From Tamsin Henman, The Pathogen Whisperer:
…..but I don’t have a chronic illness!
I was always susceptible to tonsillitis, every 6 weeks I had it at one point although in reality it probably never left. But I wasn’t chronic.
I had headaches and migraines from 8 years old, often every day. But I wasn’t chronic.
I had such severe IBS that I could only eat about a dozen pure food items without reacting. But I wasn’t chronic.
My periods were so heavy I tried not to leave the house for the few worst days each month and had frequent spotting. But I wasn’t chronic.
I was often depressed and anxious. But I wasn’t chronic.
I lost my ability to retain information, so wrote everything down. But I wasn’t chronic.
I struggled forming sentences and driving the car. But I wasn’t chronic.
I lost lots of weight and had black circles under my eyes. But I wasn’t chronic.
I couldn’t regulate my body heat. But I wasn’t chronic.
I was desperately fatigued, all the time. But I wasn’t chronic.
I had suicidal thoughts. But I wasn’t chronic.
I was bed ridden for nearly 9 months. But I wasn’t chronic.
But, here’s the thing. I didn’t really understand what chronic meant. I definitely didn’t want a label. That was for really sick people, I was ok, I wasn’t dying. But I was chronic!
Every single one of these alone was a chronic illness. Any health issue that is always in the background or keeps coming back is a chronic illness, even the little ones. Most can be stopped permanently. Doctors manage them with creams and pills, but they can be ‘switched off’ at source

When I realized my pain stemmed from wanting to be liked
I started to no longer seek approval from those surrounding me
When I realized my fear stemmed from worrying about how others would perceive me
I started to celebrate my individuality
When I realized my unhappiness stemmed from others failing to recognize my worth
I started to see and value myself fully
When I realized my jealousy stemmed from comparing the whole of my life to the highlights of other’s lives
I started to honor my strengths, gifts and creativity
When I realized my doubt stemmed from failing to trust in myself
I started to believe in myself fully
When I realized my anger stemmed from suppressing my desires and emotions
I started to speak up for myself clearly
When I realized my hurt stemmed from being rejected and abandoned
I started to show up for myself fully
When I realized my irritation stemmed from feeling unheard and listened to
I started to listen to both myself and others fully
When I realized my discomfort stemmed from living out of alignment with my true self
I started to show up as myself authentically
When I realized my heartbreak stemmed from putting my self-worth in the hands of others
I started to no longer give others permission to change how I felt about myself
Or wound me
When I realized my dysfunctional relationships stemmed from childhood trauma
I started to heal from my past and unlearn the behaviors that no longer served me
When I realized my frustration stemmed from feeling suppressed and diminished by others
I started to shift my focus away from them and toward all that I was capable of controlling:
Which was becoming the best version of me
When I realized my desperation stemmed from longing to be chosen
I started to choose myself over others who didn’t choose me
When I realized my exhaustion stemmed from over-giving
I started to redirect my energy toward nourishing my own soul and being
When I realized my anxiety stemmed from longing to be admired and seen as brilliant
I started to recognize the greatness and potential within me
When I realized my sadness stemmed from longing to belong
I started to create a space where I could be myself freely
And attract people into my life that were naturally aligned with me
When I realized my desire to feel significant stemmed from wanting to prove myself to others
I started to seek validation internally
And when I realized my emotions were simply guides
I realized that it wasn’t what I felt that mattered most
But what I chose to do with those feelings
And how I allowed them to shape and empower me.

1. The underlying causes of suffering are essentially the same for all human beings. “I’m not good enough, I’m not worthy enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not attractive enough.” If that underlying belief and orientation can be cleaned up, the person’s life & health will naturally and dramatically change for the better.
2. If the mind and the body are not connected, it’s hard to create change in someone’s health & wellbeing. The mind and body are intrinsically connected and therefore depend on each other for nourishment and support, just like yin and yang. But if the mind has been dissociated and disconnected from the body, the first part of treatment is to bring the mind back to the body.
3. Breathing patterns govern most physiology. Breathing patterns and the way we deal with emotions are learned in early life from observing parents. Therefore, the parent’s habits and general wellbeing set the tone for many health conditions later on.
4. Fertility issues are usually related to high stress. In high stress environments in the body, reproductive functions tend to shut down and are a sign that the environment is not conducive for conceiving a child. Therefore, learning how to reduce stress and RELAX is one of the best things you can do if you want to conceive and have a balanced and healthy child.
5. Regular exercise (e.g. 20mins walks outside) without overexertion will support the immune system, brain health and overall wellbeing. This simple practice alone will massively reduce disease and can help avoid many mental related imbalances, like depression.
6. Acute illnesses, here and there, are fine and natural. Even bursts of depression & anxiety is normal. The problem is when that state is “prolonged”. If the state is prolonged the disease will “make a home” inside your system and that makes it harder and more complex to treat. Therefore, the sooner you notice signs and symptoms and adjust accordingly, the easier it is to clear the disease.
7. The mind and the placebo effect has a greater influence on our health & wellbeing than most people understand. Most relief from disease is due to the placebo which is largely governed by one’s inner attitude (consciously & subconsciously). And, if the relationship between healer and client is upbeat, respectful and positive, the placebo will have an even greater influence on the treatment.
8. In true health & vitality you move towards life, not away from it. Allergies, food intolerances and sensitivities and the general inability to “deal with people or environments” are due to the “Qi” and organs becoming weak in energy, power and function. In true health and wellbeing, when your “Qi” and organs are strong and vital, you can face most circumstances, stressful situations and most of life without any negative reactions.
9. 70% of illness is self-inflicted via mostly subconscious thoughts and attitudes. The tendency is to “hold on” to negative emotional states such as fear, worry, judgement, guilt, shame and resentment. These ongoing negative emotional states are what cause havoc on the internal system. As those states are released, the body will tend to heal itself with little effort.
10. We have become too “conceptual & intellectual” and this overemphasis and obsession on concepts is causing imbalance and prolonged illness inside the system. In many cases, it is not necessary to know where a disease came from or what it was all about. If you have a thorn in your foot, you simply pull it out. You don’t have to intellectualize the thorn and find out where it came from or what wood the thorn is made of. You can simply pull it out and move on.
